Basilica of Saint-Bénigne

The Basilica of Saint-Bénigne in Dijon, officially known as the Cathédrale Saint-Bénigne, is a significant Gothic-style Roman Catholic cathedral and a designated French National Monument. Located at Place Saint-Bénigne, the current structure was built between 1281 and 1235 on the site of the original Abbey of Saint-Bénigne, which housed the saint’s tomb and suffered damage from fire in the 12th century. The Diocese of Dijon was established here during the French Revolution and was elevated to an archdiocese in 2002.
