Its interior is distinguished by extensive Venetian mosaic decorations covering 2,000 square meters, along with 39 paintings of saints and 52 gemmaux. This basilica acts as the pedestal for the larger upper basilica, creating a layered architectural experience for visitors.

During the winter months, from November 2 to December 31, hours are adjusted to 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. While the square is always accessible, checking the daily schedule for Masses and processions is advisable for those wishing to participate in specific liturgical events. The location at 1 Avenue Monseigneur Théas is easily navigable, serving as a key entry point to the sanctuary’s extensive grounds.
