Capitole de Toulouse

The Capitole de Toulouse is a major landmark located on the Place du Capitole, serving as both the Town Hall (Hôtel de Ville) and the Opera House. Built in the distinctive local pink brick that characterizes the city, the current structure dates to 1750, though it stands on the site of an ancient "maison commune" from 1190 and the martyrdom site of Saint Sernin (c. 250 AD).
