The Carré d’Art – Musée d’art contemporain in Nîmes is a striking modern architectural landmark located at Place de la Maison Carrée. Housing a collection of contemporary art from the 1960s to the present day, the museum also features a media library. Entry is free on the first Sunday of the month and for youths under 18, students, and disabled persons accompanied by a guide. An annual "Musees de Nîmes" pass costs €40, providing unlimited access to six museums in the city.

The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. It is closed on Mondays and specific public holidays, including January 1, May 1, November 1, November 11, and December 25. Note that bank and postal checks are no longer accepted as of January 1, 2021.
