Musée de la Contrefaçon

The Musée de la Contrefaçon, located at 16, rue de la Faisanderie in the 16th arrondissement, is a unique museum dedicated to the study of counterfeit goods. Established in 1951 by the Union des Fabricants (Unifab), it is registered as a historical monument and housed in a private mansion near Avenue Foch. Visitors enter discreetly by ringing a doorbell and are guided through five galleries featuring approximately 500 objects. The collection includes over 350 items, such as toys, luxury goods, electronics, and toiletries, each displayed alongside its authentic original. The museum is open daily except Monday. Admission requires a fee, and visitors should check current hours before visiting.
