The Musée Rodin, housed in the historic Hôtel Biron at 77 Rue de Varenne, offers a serene experience dedicated to the works of Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel. Visitors explore both indoor galleries and an expansive outdoor sculpture garden, allowing for a flexible and immersive journey through 19th-century art. The museum displays iconic masterpieces such as The Thinker, The Kiss, The Walking Man, and The Burghers of Calais. The collection also includes significant works like The Age of Bronze, The Gates of Hell, the Monument to Balzac, and Vincent Van Gogh’s Père Tanguy.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with last admission at 5:45 p.m. It is closed on Mondays and major holidays including January 1, May 1, and December 25. On December 24 and 31, the museum closes early at 5:30 p.m. Standard admission is €14, with combined tickets available for other major Paris museums. Free entry is offered on the first Sunday of each month from October to March, and eligible groups such as students and teachers may enter free with valid proof.

For the best experience, visitors should allow 90–120 minutes to view the signature works. To avoid crowds, particularly during the busy June–August period, weekday mornings between November and March are recommended. Large bags are not accepted, so travelers should plan accordingly. Note that the permanent collection galleries are not air-conditioned, though the Studio Rodin in the Chapel is. Accessible via Metro lines to Varenne or Invalides, the museum provides a peaceful retreat from the city’s bustle, blending architectural history with artistic legacy.
