Port de Plaisance de Calvi
Marina near the Citadel offering 340 berths
The Port de Plaisance de Calvi, also known as Port Xavier Colonna, is a fully accessible marina located on the northeast side of the historic Citadel. Open year-round, it serves as a key hub for boaters, offering accommodation for 120 stopovers and 340 long-term berths, primarily for vessels under 20 meters. The facility is equipped with five pontoons, a 100-ton lifting area, and a fuelling station that operates from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm during the summer months.
Visitors arriving by boat must contact the Harbor Master via phone or VHF Channel 9 prior to arrival. Essential services include water, electricity, and secure pontoon access. Shower blocks are available for €2.50 for 10 minutes, while toilets and washbasins are provided free of charge. Mooring is strictly prohibited outside the port between April 15 and October 15. However, safe external anchorage is available in the southeast area during other months.
The marina’s location provides convenient access to Calvi’s main attractions, including the Citadel, a historic Genoese fortress listed as a monument. The nearby Calvi-Balagne Tourist Office offers assistance with accommodation reservations and ticket sales for local attractions. For travelers exploring Calvi by land, the port area offers a scenic view of the harbor and the city’s crescent-shaped bay. This well-equipped facility ensures a comfortable stay for maritime visitors while integrating seamlessly with the town’s rich historical and cultural landscape.
