The Millau Viaduct (Viaduc de Millau) is a record-breaking engineering marvel located in Aveyron, France. Conceived by engineer Michel Virlogeux and designed by architect Lord Norman Foster, it holds the world record for the tallest bridge, reaching 343 meters—higher than the Eiffel Tower. Spanning 2,460 meters across the Tarn valley with only nine contact points, the structure is supported by seven slender pillars and serves as a key link in the A75 motorway, connecting Clermont-Ferrand to the Mediterranean coast.

Visitors can access the site via the A75 autoroute, centered around the Aire du Viaduc de Millau service area. This hub offers a free exhibition, Viaduc Expo, which details the construction secrets of the bridge, along with souvenir shops and tourist information. The dedicated viewing area, located in the former Caussenarde farm of Brocuéjouls, provides panoramic views of the viaduct and information on local cultural and natural heritage. A gastronomic area featuring regional specialties is also available.

For a closer experience, the "Sentier des Explorateurs" offers a 40–50 minute guided tour led by Eiffage guides, covering the viaduct's history and records. Prices range from €4 for children to €6 for adults. The site also supports various adventure activities, including canoeing, hiking, paragliding, hang-gliding, quad biking, and boat tours under the bridge. Millau itself is known as a gateway to the Gorges du Tarn and the "most beautiful villages in France," making the viaduct a central point for exploring the region’s scenic and cultural attractions.
