Château des Ducs de Savoie

The Château des Ducs de Savoie in Chambéry is a historic landmark and listed Historic Monument located in the city center on Place du Château. Built in the 11th century and modified since the 13th century, it served as the residence of the Dukes of Savoy and notably housed the Holy Shroud from 1502 to 1578. The castle retains its administrative function, housing the Savoie Prefecture, the Departmental Council, and the Savoie Academy.

Access to the interior is strictly limited to guided tours, which last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
