Marché de Chambéry

The Marché de Chambéry is a vibrant hub of local life and commerce, centered around the historic Les Halles de Chambéry. Located at Place de Genève, this covered market spans 1,200 square meters and operates five days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 6:00 AM and 1:30 PM. It serves as a central gathering place for residents and visitors alike, reflecting the authentic Savoyard identity of the region.

Inside the Halles, visitors can explore stalls offering a wide variety of local and regional products. These include artisanal cheeses such as tomme and reblochon, charcuterie, mountain honey, sourdough bread, and wines from the Cœur de Savoie. The market also features butcher shops, bakeries, organic products, and international specialties. A bar, known as Le Bistrot des Halles, provides a space for socializing and enjoying refreshments.

In addition to the covered market, open-air markets take place in various locations. Place de Genève hosts a local and organic market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while Place du Palais de Justice features manufactured goods on Saturdays.
