Villa Kerylos

Villa Kérylos is a unique historic residence located in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, on the French Riviera, rather than in Dinard. Built in the early 20th century by the French archaeologist Théodore Reinach, the villa is designed as a faithful reconstruction of an ancient Greek house from the 4th century BC. The architecture reflects Hellenistic elegance, featuring marble halls, frescoes, and mosaics inspired by ancient Greek art.

Visitors can explore the interior, which includes a peristyle, dining room, and bedrooms, all decorated with artifacts and reproductions that illustrate daily life in ancient Greece. The gardens descend towards the sea, offering a serene environment that complements the historical theme. The site serves as a museum, providing insight into the archaeological interests of Reinach and the cultural heritage of the ancient world.

The villa is open to the public with specific hours: from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM between October and March, and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM between April and September. During the summer months, extended evening hours are available. Admission is €15 for adults, with a reduced rate of €10. Tickets are sold exclusively on-site, so visitors must purchase them upon arrival. The villa is closed on May 1st and closes early on December 24th and 31st.
